Dot pitch is a specification for a computer display, computer printer, image scanner, or other pixel-based device that describes the distance, for example, between dots (sub-pixels) on a display screen. The closer the dot pitch is, the higher the pixel density is, the data capacity to display per unit area is larger for one time, the proper viewing distance is much closer, and vice versa.
The following two factors will be the main consideration while choosing the led display according to dot pitch.
1. Led screen display viewing distance
The place where the display could be seen is called ”led display viewing distance”. We could know the best viewing distance(i.e. the distance that provides the viewer with the optimum immersive visual experience. It will not change the color. ) and the furthest viewing distance(i.e. the distance that could see the screen clearly) through the formula.
Formula: Best Viewing Distance=Dot Pitch/(0.3-0.8)m
From the formula, we could figure out the viewing distance range. Besides dot pitch, the best viewing distance of the led display has something to do with the brightness, gray scale, view angle, consistency, as well as the working environment brightness, viewing direction.
